Some of the Best Paid Android Applications

Owning a phone that runs the Android operating system can bring joy to your life. One reason is it means you have a smart phone (which usually brings more fun than a typical cell phone). It also means if you have your phone with you, you won’t ever have to worry about being bored. This is basically why the Android apps were developed, to let people have fun while twiddling their thumbs. And to assist in making their daily lives a little bit simpler.

By now, you have probably already fiddled with every free Android application available. However, playing around with paid applications can be a little more intimidating. You don’t want to watch your money down the drain. To avoid throwing your money away, here are the top paid Android applications (from our point of view at the time of this writing).

Greed is an affordable paid application for Android. Its name makes it sound money-related but it doesn’t have anything to do with money management. Greed is an app that keeps up with RSS feeds. This application doesn’t even cost three dollars and it allows you to track and share all of the feeds that you’ve put in to your Google Reader (is down as of July 1st – click the link for alternatives). If you enjoy reading news sites or blogs, use this Android app to help you instantly receive the latest updates from all of the sites you read on a regular basis. You won’t ever have to worry about missing a post or story. Not only does this app let you read your feeds offline it helps you access twitter and keep track of podcasts.

Jewellust is a prominent paid game application for Android phones. You move around jewels, collect mosaic tiles and explore the ancient Pyramids in an attempt to find the Pharaoh’s treasure. As you learn about the game you play in “campaign” mode. After you are comfortable in playing the game, you can play in “survival” mode. This gives you unlimited play-time and saves your score for each game you play. Game applications are a great way to help you kill time while you are stuck at waiting places or when you have some spare time unexpectedly.

PhonePlus Callback might not be considered a “must have” but it is a top paid Android application for those who don’t want to look rude if they don’t pick up a phone call. This application costs almost three dollars, so it won’t break your piggy bank to install it. The main idea of the app is to send a text message to the person whose call has just been refused. This way you don’t have to worry about looking rude if someone calls when you cannot answer the phone. You also have the option of sending an e-mail if the number calling is not connected to a mobile phone.

Deciding which paid app is the best in the Android market seems like a big decision. Like other smart phone owners, you won’t even look at paid apps until you’ve completely exhausted all the good choices available in the free app market.

The truth is that sometimes those paid apps really are worth their asking prices. Most people use apps for entertainment or to make their lives easier. Isn’t that worth a dollar or two?
